What You’ll Do: As a Staff Software Engineer on the Security team, you'll develop critical software solutions that enhance and protect CoreWeave’s cloud platform. Your work will focus on building robust security systems, including authorization frameworks, Kubernetes security solutions, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services.
- Architect, develop, and deploy scalable solutions such as authorization and security systems tailored to cloud-native environments.
- Build and maintain security tooling and infrastructure specifically optimized for Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Design and implement CoreWeave’s PKI infrastructure, service mesh authentication, and authorization mechanisms (SPIFFE/SPIRE/OPA infrastructure), k8s security components (such as Admission Controllers), and other security software.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and deliver high-quality, scalable security features and software.
- Mentor engineers and champion best practices in security-focused software development.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on security-focused software solutions
- Deep experience building authorization systems, security controls, and services
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python)
- Expertise in container security, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing and scaling Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SPIFFE/SPIRE or OPA
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and related technologies
- Knowledge of firmware-level security, including technologies such as UEFI Secure Boot, Intel TXT/AMD SEV, and emerging standards like Caliptra

The base pay and target total cash for this position range from $165,000 to $275,000 and $153,000 to $330,000, accordingly. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace
While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
